Q: What was your First Bike?
A: BMX – built and rode some lekker stuff on that thing
Q: What do you love most about your sport?
A: The mental aspect – it's not totally up to who is faster bio mechanically, there's that chemical x, the mental aspect is a huge part of the sport of triathlon, but in cross triathlon you also need to be able to handle a bike, it's a lot tougher mentally and the chance of a puncture or a fall is quite high. Anything could happen in a race, the results are never certain until the last k of the run.
Q: What has your sport taught you?
A: Discipline, respect and the confidence to try new things (if other people can do it, so can you)
Q: Biggest goal for 2015?
A: World Cross Triathlon Champs in Sardinia, Italy
Q: Interesting fact about yourself?
A: I like to do a bit of everything – videography, trailbuilding, the sea skating, and finding cool stuff to do (generally got some plan for a new adventure).
